JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for providing skilled speech, language, and swallowing therapy services. The speech-language pathologist / SLP assesses and develops individualized treatment plans and provides speech, language, and swallowing interventions to enhance residents' quality of life and functional independence.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Speech assessments and evaluations
Collaborate with other health care professionals in the assessment, planning, and safe implementation of all therapy.
Be a resident advocate where the resident is the center of all we do.
Ensure excellent communication among residents, families, and staff.
Provide clinical documentation
Create positive resident outcomes.
Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated.
Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times.
Help create a culture of superior customer service.

REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology / SLP program
Must have and maintain a Certificate of Clinical Competence and a current, valid license in the state of operation as a speech-language pathologist / SLP.
Successful criminal background check
Long-term care facility experience preferred
