Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises via foot and mobile patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access points by verifying identities and managing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors using access control systems
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy
- Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of security screening processes
- Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity across the facility continuously
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety and order
Skills
- Completed the Georgia 24 hour Basic Security Program
- Strong knowledge of physical security measures, including patrolling, access control, CCTV operation, and incident reporting
- Experience with surveillance technology and familiarity with CCTV systems and access control systems
- Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous for understanding security protocols and emergency procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies
- Skilled in performing background checks and conducting thorough security screenings
- Proficient in emergency response procedures including CPR, AED operation, first aid, and fire safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally
- Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and standards governing private security operations
