Summary
Teaches 24 semester hours per academic year, including both general education courses and Chemistry. Additional duties may include contributing to the campus in in scholarly ways, supporting students, supporting Principia activities, and promoting Christian Science-based character education in accord with Principia’s mission as outlined in Education at The Principia.

Primary Responsibilities
- Teaches 24 semester hours per academic year in Chemistry
- Is an active character educator in accordance with Principia’s mission
- Maintains office hours
- Meets with students for academic support
- Prepares for, teaches, and measures student learning for assigned courses within the context of Principia's philosophy of liberal arts education

- Works closely with students to further develop their thinking, writing, research, and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field preferred

- Ability to work with a range of students and skill levels
- Classroom teaching experience or work with college-aged students preferred
- Demonstrated facility and comfort with navigating and leveraging a learning management system

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive starting salary range for this position: $50,400- $66,480 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
