Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated, Special Event Security Guards to join our team for upcoming events and seasonal pool monitor assignments. This role is ideal for individuals who are professional, alert, dependable, and approachable with a friendly demeanor. Guards should be confident, observant, and capable of maintaining a safe environment while engaging positively with guests, clients, and staff.
Your responsibilities include monitoring event premises, enforcing rules and regulations, assisting with crowd control, and responding to incidents or emergencies. Guards must take a proactive approach to security while ensuring a positive experience for everyone on site.
This is an on-call position with shifts that vary based on event schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (Required)
- Completion of 40-hour BSIS training (Required)
- Previous security or customer service experience (Preferred)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Professional demeanor
- Reliable transportation and a working phone
Responsibilities:
- Monitor event premises and enforce rules and regulations
- Assist with crowd control to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for guests
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to law enforcement as needed
- Assist in conflict management and de-escalating tense situations
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations
Skills:
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and public interaction
- Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous but not required
Availability:
This is an on-call position requiring flexible availability, with a strong emphasis on weekends and holidays. Shifts generally range from 4 to 6 hours, typically starting between 12:00 PM and 6:30 PM and ending around 10:30 PM.
