Double Disc-Grinding Operator- 2nd Shift
Principal Manufacturing is seeking a Double Disc Grinding Operator to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.
The Grinding Operator will set up and operate grinding equipment as well as inspect parts after grinding.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload parts on machinery and maintain equipment according to PMC standards.
- Examine products using inspection tools to identify defects and variations from coloring and other processing standards.
- Set up, operate, and adjust machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operation in order to maintain proper work procedures.
- Timely and accurately report production information to supervisor and in Plex (ERP System).
- Maintain and efficiently perform production assignment/ expectations from Supervisor within allotted time period per the production schedule, while following work instructions.
- Maintaining lean concepts while looking for continuous improvement.
- Understands necessary tools and instructions to ensure quality of work.
- Ensure work area is safe and free of obstacles and safely work to prevent on-the-job injuries following all safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent education/certification
- Demonstrated ability to read measuring equipment i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Demonstrate basic mathematical skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Bilingual in Spanish/ English.
- Knowledge of TS requirements.
- Previous experience in grinding.
