We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead and oversee fire sprinkler system installations, maintenance, and repairs on construction sites. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise fire sprinkler installation teams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to construction plans and specifications
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute pipefitting, pipe welding, and sprinkler system layouts
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of sprinkler systems within the overall construction process
- Perform or oversee pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, pipe welding (including MIG, FCAW, TIG), and fabrication tasks with precision
- Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations such as NFPA standards, OSHA guidelines, and local building codes; enforce safety protocol adherence among team members
- Conduct quality inspections of installed systems; troubleshoot issues related to pipe installation or sprinkler fitting; perform routine maintenance as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of work progress, safety compliance records, and inspection reports throughout the project lifecycle
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of fire sprinkler systems installation, maintenance, and repair procedures
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans for accurate system layout and pipefitting
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG welding; experienced in pipe welding for various materials and thicknesses
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, rigging equipment, and tube benders
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), ASME codes & standards for piping systems
- Ability to read basic math for measurements and calculations related to pipe fabrication and installation
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites; committed to maintaining a safe work environment through rigorous safety protocol adherence
- Experience working on construction sites with multiple trades; capable of coordinating tasks efficiently within a team setting
- Familiarity with pipeline assembly, system testing procedures, soldering techniques for piping connections, and routine maintenance practices
