What You'll Do:
We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Engineering to join our Information Security and Risk team. In this role, you will focus on our Data Protection Program, helping to design, engineer and implement Data Security and Records Management solutions. As a key technical leader, you will coach and develop staff, guide technical decisions and ensure successful delivery of initiatives that protect our company and customer data.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
  • This position will work side-by-side Product Management, Architecture, Security Engineers and Analysts passionate about protecting and managing data through its lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance, Privacy, Legal and other internal business partners to achieve outcomes and meet our information security and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and lead implementation of new capabilities and solutions that enable strategic data protection objectives, reduce risk and ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations.
  • Have responsibility for the development and implementation of new processes and procedures while ensuring existing ones are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Drive strategy and prioritization of capabilities under your leadership.
  • Leverage data and analytics to create metrics that demonstrate compliance and highlight risk.
  • Build strong partnerships across enterprise teams. Garner support, trust, and engagement to proactively overcome barriers to stay product centric.
Who You Are:

We’re looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience, plus 8 years of relevant experience; prefer 4 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in information security engineering with a focus on data security, data governance, data management or records retention preferred.
  • Formal Leadership experience is required.
  • Ability to lead, drive and influence projects requiring a high degree of enterprise collaboration.
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work against aggressive timelines.
  • Proven experience implementing frameworks, policies and standards that govern and secure data (examples - data discovery and classification frameworks, processes to support appropriate access controls, data lifecycle management, data handling standards and strategies).
  • Excellent presentation skills in order to speak to a variety of audiences, including written and oral communication.
Additionally preferred technical experience:

  • Experience optimizing and operationalizing programs, solutions and processes. Cloud experience – AWS preferred
  • Data security and risk management processes and controls engineering - detections, analytics, security operations, architecture, identity & access management, risk assessment.
  • Vendor Management Skills
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $137000 - $185000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
