This role is ideal for a violin, viola, or cello player with experience in music education, instrument sales, or retail management who enjoys working with musicians, students, and families in a creative, music-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily store operations — opening/closing, customer communication, POS, and cash handling
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and rentals for instruments, bows, and accessories
- Coordinate repairs and client services with precision and professionalism
- Lead marketing and customer communication, including email campaigns and promotions
- Implement merchandising and pricing strategies to highlight key products and events
- Supervise and train staff to ensure a welcoming, knowledgeable environment
- Maintain organized sales, inventory, and administrative records
- Foster a positive, music-loving atmosphere that inspires creativity and learning
- Proven experience in retail or administrative management, ideally in a music-related or educational setting
- Must play violin, viola, or cello and communicate comfortably with musicians and students
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory control, and retail math
- Tech-savvy; comfortable with spreadsheets, email marketing, and e-commerce tools
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and communication skills
- Familiarity with sales, merchandising, and promotional planning
- Experience with online sales (BigCommerce, Shopify, or similar) or digital marketing a plus
💰 Starting from $50,000 per year and up, depending on experience and musical background.
