Founded in 1998 with the specific mission of providing integrated ecological and engineering consulting services, Princeton Hydro offers expertise in natural resource management, water resources engineering, geotechnical design & investigation, and regulatory compliance. 

 

We are seeking an experienced project manager/water resources engineer to join our mission-driven team. We’re looking for someone who brings technical expertise, project management experience, collaborative spirit, and an interest in sustainable engineering solutions. This individual will play a key role in providing civil and water resources engineering expertise, including hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, to support ecological restoration, natural resources, and geotechnical engineering projects.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Find solutions for engineering problems, concerns, or conflicts and take on a project ownership role 
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering projects, balancing technical responsibilities with project planning, resource coordination, client engagement, and successful project delivery.
  • Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, engineer's estimates, sign and seal construction documents and complete critical path project schedules
  • Perform stormwater management reviews, inspections, and summary reports
  • Attend and provide testimony at Planning Board meetings as an expert for the planning board and for objectors
  • Perform construction oversight for various restoration projects
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Other duties as requested

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects while balancing technical execution, project planning, stakeholder engagement, and delivery objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities; including writing proposals, technical reports, and presenting technical information to clients
  • Excellent time management skills that allow for the simultaneous management of multiple tasks
