Assistant Aquatics Manager Role:

Princeton Fitness and Wellness Center is currently looking for an Assistant Aquatics Manager to supervise the use of pool area to ensure a clean and safe environment. This is a part time position with an option for full time employment for applicants who are willing to pick up lifeguarding and swim lesson shifts. We operate a state of the art three pool aquatic center with a lap pool, therapy pool and whirlpool. The Assistant Aquatics Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Uses excellent customer service skills and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, members, and visitors
• Manages the payroll and timesheets of the Aquatics Team
• Directs the patrolling of the pool and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations
• Assist in the supervision of the Aquatics Team including lifeguards and instructors
• Assist with scheduling lifeguards and assigning swim lessons to certified instructors.
• Teach swim lessons (all levels), Lifeguard course, Water Safety Instructor Course, CPR/AED classes for the employees and the public
• Responds to public inquiries about aquatics programs via telephone or email
• Promotes interest and provides information regarding aquatics programs to school officials, community service groups, other departments, and the general public
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by manager

Assistant Aquatics Manager Qualifications:

• The Assistant Aquatics Manager must be American Red Cross, Lifeguard certified
• Must have experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor
• Experience teaching training courses is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with face to face, telephone, and email communications
• Warm and friendly disposition
