What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveyor II position at Prince?
This position is for surveying on highway/roadway construction projects. Operation of surveying instruments/equipment and compiling and entering data into computer software. Entry-level experience with CADD programs is required.
- The daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and vehicle.
- Provides assistance to Survey Manager in regard to layout and measurements.
- Operating GPS, Trimble, and Total station equipment.
- Maintaining all surveying supplies.
- Comparing survey computations with applicable standards to determine the accuracy of data.
- Equipment verification once a month.
- Attends safety meetings and training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of survey experience on highway/roadway construction projects.
- A High School diploma is highly preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish, due to the nature of the job.
- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. several times a day.
- Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours. (daytime/nighttime)
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be accustomed to working in an outside environment.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must possess and maintain a clean Florida driver’s license.
