Job Description
- Maintain a Safety-First Attitude.
- Ability to thoroughly inspect multiple types of construction equipment such as but not limited to loaders, graders, dozers, excavators, heavy trucks, and cranes.
- Identify, and diagnose equipment problems.
- Ability to create a repair backlog from the inspections and complete minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain awareness of hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operations
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with ten (10) or more years heavy & truck equipment
- Must be 18 years in age or older and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; must maintain current driver’s license that meets requirements
- Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations in order to keep time and material records.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Able to walk and stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear
- The ability use hands in order to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- May require sitting for extended periods of time
- Able to climb ladders
- Able to regularly lift and/or move 50-100 pounds
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required; must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
