Job Summary:
This position oversees the management and operation of the School Division’s enterprise resource planning applications. The positions will develop, document, analyze, implement, assist in the design of the systems, and enforce the comprehensive business application strategy, standards and processes.
Essential Responsibilities Specific to this Job:
•Supervises the daily work of the Business Applications staff responsible for the maintenance of the ERP application.
•Functions as project leader for major projects in the ERP application.
•Serves as liaison between Information Systems Support, departments and schools for administrative software applications.
•Leads the school district effort to establish standards, policies and procedures for the successful functioning of administrative applications.
•Assists in establishing standards, policies, and procedures for the successful operation of all central operations
•Adheres to schedules, procedures, policies, and performance requirements for ITS operations
•Participates in training programs to keep abreast of best practices in management techniques as well as new administrative software.
•Provides guidance to administration for technology purchases
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors:
•Proven experience and knowledge of managing an Information Technology Operations, including, critical information systems, backup/recovery planning, business continuity planning, telecommunications, wireless communications, Email systems, Windows Servers and hardware support
•Ability to manage all phases of systems development to include analysis of needs and resources, system design and development, design and implementation of system testing processes, installation, maintenance and post-production audits.
•Ability to act as liaison with various departments, providing effective communication between users and shared decision making in the area of administrative software application.
•Excellent understanding and technical knowledge of ERP applications
•Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems relating to the ERP application.
•Ability to prepare written technical reports as well as preparing short and long term plans
•Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information management, or related field. Five years' increasing responsibility managerial and administrative work experience with special emphasis in technical support.
Salary : $115,825 - $187,755
