Prince William County Government is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join the Office of Performance Management (OPM). Prince William County Performance Management Office seeks an experienced, organized, and technically versatile professional to lead strategic enablement initiatives throughout the organization.
About This Role:
The Senior Project Manager in the Performance Management Office will be responsible for leading multiple initiatives to enable PWC government organizations to make transparent, data-driven, strategic decisions. This position will collaborate with county offices, agencies, and departments on short, focused sprints meant to reevaluate processes, measure performance maturity, and build recommendations for intervention. To be successful, the candidate has expertise through certification or experience in leveraging multiple project management concepts and frameworks to drive the successful completion of initiatives using time, budget, and impact as driving focuses. Candidates should possess experience in the review and reengineering of enterprise service processes, standard operating procedures drafting, and performance management.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. and 5 years of experience in local government operational project management.

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field such as economics, public policy, statistics, accounting, or analytics.
Professional certifications in relevant fields: Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, Certified Public Manager (CMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and/or Certified Scrum Master(CSM).
7 years of professional work experience in local government budget, strategic initiatives implementation, or financial analysis, and technical system implementation.
Demonstrated experience leading or supporting organizational projects or change management.
Professional work experience in documenting project artifacts, mapping and evaluating business processes, drafting standard operating procedures.
Professional work experience leading cross-functional project teams in a change management or performance management context.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with some evenings and weekends from January to May. Primarily telework, but there is a need to attend some meetings in person within and around Prince William County.
Special Requirement: Must pass a background check prior to employment.
Starting Salary Range: $70,921.50 - $97,968
