The Real Estate Assessments Office of Prince William County government is searching for a Residential Assessments Manager in Woodbridge, Virginia. This position supervises 16 appraisal staff who perform professional work in the appraisal of real property (residential and vacant land) for assessment purposes.
About This Role:
This position is responsible for overseeing the annual assessment process for more than 150,000 residential parcels.
They will:
- Plan, organize and direct the activities of the residential assessment team
-Coordinate the acquisition, classification, and analysis of data to establish accurate defensible assessments.
-Assist with strategic planning initiatives, direct quality control and establish uniform standards, procedures and valuation techniques.
- Prepare and review annual forecasts of real estate market activity, revenue estimates, and statistical data for publications.
-Supervise staff, including prioritizing, assigning and scheduling work and conducting performance evaluations. -Ensure staff are trained and that employees follow policies and procedures.
-Make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or G.E.D. and 7 years of related experience overseeing the annual assessment process
Must also have a valid driver’s license.
Preferences:
Proficient with MS Office products, excellent analytical skill, detail oriented, accurate and meticulous. excellent communication and customer service skills as they will need patience and tact to deal with taxpayers.

Special Requirements: The Selected Candidate is required to complete a Statement of Economic Interests pursuant to Va. Code §§ 2.2-3114, 2.2-3115, and 2.2-3116
Work Schedule: In person Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00 at our Woodbridge office.
Hiring Salary Range: $91,162.50 $121,836.00
