Duties
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts and automatic inserting machines
- Operate RF scanners to accurately track inventory and update shipment records
- Organize packages within the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate efficient retrieval
- Prepare shipments by packing, labeling, and documenting items for shipping & receiving processes
- Conduct routine inspections of packages for damage or discrepancies, ensuring quality control
- Assist with outdoor work activities, including outdoor storage management and yard organization
- Maintain filing systems for shipping documents, inventory logs, and other warehouse records
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse distribution environments preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Experience operating forklifts and RF scanners is highly desirable; certification is a plus
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of automatic inserting machines and shipping & receiving procedures preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing and record keeping
- Willingness to work outdoors when necessary and adapt to varying weather conditions
