Hotel Facilities & Grounds Technician
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience
Expected hours: Full time - 40 per week
Schedule: 8 hour shift-Day shift-Holidays as needed-Night shift-Weekends as needed. Some overtime as deemed necessary by the General Manager
Experience:
· Basic Maintenance and grounds skills
· CPO- Certified Pool Operator a plus
Job Requirements:
· Excellent communication skills involving the working with department Managers and GM
· Excellent organizational skills & prioritization of tasks to be done
· Being available for hotel facility emergencies day or night
· Detail orientated
· Able to work efficiently and effectively, self stater
· Able to analyze problems as they arise and solve problems
· Dependable transportation and cell phone required
· Basic Computer skills
· Provide your own tools for position
Daily Responsibilities and Duties
· Excellent Customer service skills working with guests and staff
· Maintaining hotel confidentiality working with guests and staff and Management
· Maintain hotel security for guests and staff
· Minor knowledge of construction, plumbing and electrical
· Daily working with hotel work orders and Maintenance Task Board
· Perform all aspects of maintenance activities in hotel public areas and guest rooms
· Available for emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and staff preserving the building and its systems during the emergency. Will be called in for major emergencies in the hotel as they arise
· Maintain daily reports and logs for hotel equipment and pool
· Understand local Health codes as applicable to hotel
· Department Meetings attended
· Work closely with the General Manager and Management of the hotel and Corporate offices
· Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
· Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
· Ensure hotel Grounds maintained and clean including mowing of lawns and snow removal
· Perform all aspects of maintenance activities in hotel public areas and guest rooms
· Monitoring of Fire Alarm/ Life Safety / Elevator equipment as necessary, to be fully informed of the systems operations and how to handle the emergencies
· Adhere to the IHG Preventative Maintenance Program and daily reports
