What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver USA position at Prince Metal Stampings?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the receipt of all incoming materials.
- Responsible for all input into the computer for purchased parts, raw material, and stock crib items daily.
- Ensure all packing slips have a valid purchase order number on it and a clear description of goods being received. The Receiver shall notify the appropriate personnel daily when their items have been received so that they may pick them up in the crib.
- Shall directly oversee the stock crib and plant MRO inventories.
- Shall directly oversee the stock crib and be responsible for proper maintenance and organization of stock crib. They will control who enters stock crib and requests materials. All items must be scanned out of the stock crib prior to releasing product.
- Assist with cycle counts of inventory as needed and instructed.
- Assist other members of the Management Team as required and perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Plant Purchasing Department and Corporate Purchasing.
- It is understood that the Plant Receiver will have access to confidential information regarding the operation of the group of companies and this information shall not be divulged to any improper persons without prior approval of Senior Management.
- All employees with access to any Narmco computer system or program will be required to report any information security incidents or breaches to their manager, the IT Manager or helpdesk. All employees are to work in compliance with our programs, policies and procedures relating to computer use and/or information technology assigned.
- Distribute PPE to production employees on day and afternoon shifts.

DAY SHIFT POSITION
PAY RATE: $20-$22
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Grade 12 Diploma – OSSD
- Strong clerical and typing skills (Office Admin Courses / Diploma an asset)
Skills & Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience with stock and/or inventory control in an automotive environment is preferred
- Experience working with personal computers, Microsoft based software
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills
- Confidentiality kept in all aspects of the job
TRAINING
- The initial orientation period within the Department generally lasts a minimum of one to two weeks. This will help the new employee to get an overall view of the workings of The NARMCO Group’s internal systems. These systems and procedures will help the new employee with their job duties as they learn, grow and complete their probationary period.
- A Training Matrix (or similar document) may be developed to cover each activity in specific areas that a new employee in the Department will utilize in their day-to-day job functions. Notes and comments are made to extend any points or areas that might need further review based upon the training period and the individuals’ previous experience in a similar job function.
- As activities are demonstrated by the trainer, the trainer and the trainee will sign off on the various activities once training has been completed.
- Any further training orientation will be in continuation to the matrix and recorded in their employment file. Individuals are encouraged to take any applications, courses and seminars that offer a further education in their department knowledge. Requests for these courses must be initiated by a Request for Training Form which can be found under the Company Policy Manual – Section 1.0 Human Resources on NarmcoNet.
