Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Manage the order picking process using RF scanners to ensure accurate shipments.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Perform heavy lifting and materials handling duties as required to support warehouse operations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, including familiarity with order picking processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus, showcasing leadership skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse operations is essential for maintaining safety protocols.
- Experience with construction environments is beneficial for understanding material handling needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Certification for forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
