What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Coordinator position at PRINCE MANUFACTURING CORPORATION NORTH CAROLINA?
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory counts using ERP/MRP systems.
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials.
- Track lot numbers, batch codes, and expiration dates where applicable.
Material Planning & Coordination
- Monitor stock levels to support production demands and customer orders.
- Coordinate material replenishment based on minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Work with purchasing to forecast material needs and prevent shortages.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory for management review.
- point of need for all departments, materials organization, and inventory control
- Updates in Epicor, labeling, moving, rearranging, primary working location is the warehouse --spending about 1 hour a day updating info in Epicor.
Data & Systems Management
- Update inventory transactions in ERP/MRP systems (receipts, transfers, adjustments).
- Generate inventory reports for management and production teams.
- Analyze inventory trends to recommend process improvements.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Communicate inventory issues that could impact production schedules.
- Support audits by providing inventory records and documentation.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Adhere to company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred).
