Term: 2025–26 Season (Part-Time, Stipend Position)
Job Summary / Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individuals to serve as Assistant Basebasll Coaches at Prince Edward County High School. This role offers a unique opportunity to mentor student athletes, assist in practices and meets, and contribute to a growing baseball program. You will work closely with the Head Baseball Coach to develop game plans, build team culture, and support the program's success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintain check of student athlete's grades and conduct
2. Recruit within the school
3. Build good relations with the community
4. Coordinate the development of player skills and development of the whole player
5. Assess player's skill
6. Implement drills and activities during practice to promote growth on and off the field
7. Maintain secure equipment and uniforms
8. Help with preparation of practice and game areas
9. Follow all guidelines of the VHSL handbook and the PECHS Extracurricular Handbook
10. Complete all Coaches Education Training, Concussion Training, and Rules Clinics
11. Follow PECHS established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury
12. Represent PECHS in a professional manner
13. Display and encourage sportsmanship at all times
14 Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and/or Principal
Qualifications:
1. Knowledgeable of all phases of the game
2. Previous coaching experience (preferred)
