Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance.
- Manage stock levels by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing backroom inventory to maintain an attractive store environment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counts, product replenishment, and labeling to ensure product availability.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy following proper phone etiquette.
- Support the sales team by supervising new team members when needed, sharing best practices for retail sales techniques.
- Promote store promotions and special offers through upselling strategies to maximize sales performance.
- Facilitate product demos for customers to enhance their understanding and encourage purchase decisions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring all merchandising standards are met consistently.
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable.
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining genuine customer engagement.
