Role Description The Physical Therapist role at PRIMUS PHYSICAL THERAPY is a part-time or full-time, on-site position located in Centreville, VA or Stond Ridge, VA. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to address pain, mobility limitations, and functional impairments. Daily responsibilities include documenting patient progress, updating care plans, and collaborating with referring providers and other team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. The role also involves educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies to support long-term outcomes. The Physical Therapist is expected to maintain clinical best practices, adhere to regulatory standards, and contribute to a positive, inclusive clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply foundational Medicine knowledge to musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, including understanding diagnostics and treatment principles.
- Strong Physical Therapy skills, including patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and use of modalities.
- Experience in Rehabilitation, with a focus on restoring function, improving mobility, and supporting recovery across diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including clear communication, empathy, and culturally competent, person-centered treatment.
- Competence in Home Care planning, including designing safe, effective home exercise programs and educating patients and caregivers.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist in Virginia and graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and manage a part-time patient caseload effectively.
- CPR/First Aid certification and experience in outpatient orthopedic settings are beneficial.
- Dry Needling certifcation or interest in getting certified
