What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer Flink, Kafka position at PRIMUS Global Services Inc.?
We have an immediate need for a Flink Software Engineer with our client. This role focuses on extending a Kafka-based streaming data platform using Apache Flink to support analytics, business use cases, and real-time data transformation.
The engineer will work with distributed data pipelines, build scalable streaming applications, and contribute to platform enhancements in a long-term engagement.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Apache Flink and Java development, along with hands-on knowledge of streaming architectures built on Kafka.
Candidates should be comfortable building and optimizing real-time data pipelines, supporting analytics use cases, and contributing to scalable data processing solutions. Experience with Kubernetes deployments, modifying open-source frameworks (especially Flink), and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or on-prem platforms is highly desirable.
