We have an immediate need for a Senior Video Application Engineer in Denver, CO 80111. This is an onsite opportunity from day one, supporting next-generation video delivery and streaming platforms in a highly dynamic media environment.
In this role, you will manage operational readiness across video authentication, customer onboarding, purchase flows, cloud DVR, entitlements, channel lineups, metadata, caching, VOD, and streaming services. You will monitor service health, alerts, and platform performance using industry-leading observability tools such as Splunk and Datadog. The position involves supporting production deployments, validating releases, and ensuring seamless post-deployment operations for backend video services. You will troubleshoot complex production issues across customer access, entitlement systems, middleware, recording platforms, and video delivery infrastructure. Additionally, you will validate data flows between customer systems, middleware layers, and video platforms while provisioning and supporting cloud-native applications running on Amazon Web Services and containerized environments.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in video backend systems, REST APIs, microservices, and large-scale streaming platforms. Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker is essential. Deep knowledge of monitoring tools, production deployments, release management, root cause analysis, and debugging distributed systems involving multiple APIs and data sources is required. Experience in cable, media, and video operations environments will be highly valuable.
