What are the responsibilities and job description for the SMETA Auditor-APSCA Approved position at Primus Auditing Ops?
Primus Auditing Ops is based on California’s Central Coast, with offices in Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Primus Auditing Ops is internationally recognized for professional, thorough and objective assessments, as our auditors and audit coordinators emphasize customer service and accuracy above all.
We are currently contracting work to Social Compliance auditors who will prepare and conduct audits under SMETA throughout the Western Hemisphere, work independently from a remote (home‐based) location, complete work under stringent timeframes and travel extensively.
Additional tasks will include entering audit reports, reviewing corrective actions, approving and signing off on the audit report, helping train new potential auditors, conducts audits independently and/or as part of a team, etc. Regardless of prior auditing experience, additional training will be required.
Compensation: Salary dependent upon skills and experience.
Education: University-level degree
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in social compliance auditing and evidence of minimum 100 social compliance audit days, provided via audit log signed off by the audit firm(s).
2 years' experience in any other type of auditing and 150 audit days, of which a minimum of 50 are social compliance audit days. Other audits may include management system, health and safety, labor inspections, investigation, audit components.
Classroom training with APSCA Member firm or an APSCA-approved organization.
APSCA-approved auditors required.
