In this role, you will facilitate age-appropriate activities, ensure child safety through vigilant supervision, and support each child's social and emotional development. Duties
- Supervise children during before- and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement engaging youth programs, including outdoor activities, arts and crafts, sports, and educational games that promote childhood development
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
- Provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations following established protocols to ensure immediate care for injuries or health issues
- Facilitate youth group activities that support social skills, teamwork, and personal growth
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and team members to coordinate schedules and communicate children's progress or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and activity participation
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols required; ongoing training provided if necessary
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Prior experience in youth development programs or camp settings is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while supervising children engaged in outdoor activities
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team coordination or supervision roles

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
