Early Childhood Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development
• Support children’s learning by engaging them in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and independence
• Help manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
• Provide hands-on care for children, including toddler care, early childhood education activities, and Montessori or preschool-based methods
• Collaborate with the team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or developmental disabilities
• Use American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods to facilitate understanding and interaction with children who have communication challenges
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in classroom settings, including preschool or childcare environments
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and curriculum development
• Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and classroom management skills
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; familiarity with IEP processes is preferred
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Certification or training in Deaf education or working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to inclusive education practices
• Passion for teaching and supporting the growth of young learners in diverse settings

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
