Position: Lead Infant Teacher
As a Lead Infant Teacher, you'll take ownership of your classroom, building trusted relationships with families and guiding a team of assistant teachers as you provide expert, nurturing care to our youngest learners. Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment for infants
- Implement and adapt age-appropriate lesson plans with confidence
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers within your classroom
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families, communicating daily routines and milestones
- Ensure a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate learning space
- Apply your training and experience to support each infant's individual needs and social-emotional growth
- Model best practices in infant care and classroom management for newer staff
Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on experience in early childhood education, required — infant classroom experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom independently
- Strong communication skills with both families and fellow staff
- Working knowledge of infant developmental milestones and safety standards
- Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced teachers a plus
- Relevant CDA, associate's, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education a plus (not required with sufficient hands-on experience)
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus!
