Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. is seeking Natural Gas Laborers in
Orlando, FL to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas distribution systems. This entry-level position involves physically demanding work in various weather conditions, primarily supporting skilled craftspeople.
Job Responsibilities-
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging trenches, shoveling, backfilling, and operating hand tools.
- Assist in the installation of natural gas pipelines, services, and related infrastructure.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Spot for heavy equipment operators to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Perform flagging duties to control traffic around work sites.
- Assist with pipe fusion, fitting, and testing procedures as directed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Operate small power tools and equipment under supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in construction, labor, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry).
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
