CDL Class A Driver – Gas Operations – Balch Springs, TX

Job Overview

Primoris Distribution Services is seeking dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Drivers to support underground natural gas construction operations in Balch Springs, Texas. Drivers will safely transport construction equipment, materials, and supplies to and from project locations and assist gas crews with job-site duties when not driving.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Transport construction equipment, materials, tools, and supplies to and from project locations.
• Load, unload, secure, and inspect materials and equipment before transport.
• Perform and document required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, customer, and company safety requirements.
• Report vehicle defects, mechanical issues, accidents, and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with mobilizing and setting up construction equipment at job sites.
• Support underground gas crews with general labor and job-site duties when not driving.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and pre-job hazard assessments.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Travel to assigned project locations and work extended hours when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Acceptable driving record required.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission commercial vehicles.
• Previous commercial driving or construction-industry experience preferred.
• Experience transporting construction equipment and operating trucks with trailers is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle inspections, load securement, and DOT requirements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier materials with assistance.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, nights, weekends, or emergency callouts when required.
• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.
