Primoris Academy Summer Exploration

Who We Are:

Primoris Academy’s Summer Exploration is an enrichment day camp where bright and curious kids ages 5-11 come to explore a hands-on program in exciting topic areas, such as STEM, history, geography, literature, music, theater, creative writing, and more.

How We Can Work Together:

Primoris Summer Exploration is seeking experienced, creative, energetic teachers to provide hands-on experiences for our day camp program at our Paramus campus. This is a temporary position from July 6 - August 7, Monday - Friday, 9am-3pm. Teaching all weeks is preferred, but not required. Compensation is $40-$70/hour (negotiable depending upon experience). Additional compensation is available for lunch/recess duty. Employment is contingent upon camp enrollment.

• Are a professional teacher of elementary-aged students or a graduate student in elementary education with practical experience.
• Can identify and implement strategies that meet the unique needs of individual campers. 
• Bring strong classroom management and organizational skills. 
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that values curiosity, questioning, and experimentation.
• Are culturally aware and demonstrate enthusiasm for an inclusive camp community.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop one or more week-long (5 days) creative, themed lesson plans in curricular areas based on your interests and expertise in elementary school subject areas. Formal plans will be submitted to the Camp Director no later than June 1, 2026, using a template provided.
• Plan and implement engaging lessons for your age groups. 
• Manage classroom and campers to facilitate learning and positive camp experiences
