Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms and surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces by executing janitorial tasks efficiently.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen, supplies, or equipment to support smooth housekeeping operations.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, stored securely, and used correctly for optimal floor care and sanitation results.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding politely to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work, with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices preferred.
• Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and floor care products.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management systems or janitorial experience is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
