Duties

• Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, assembling, and garnishing dishes to meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies to uphold hygiene standards.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, coffee machines, toasters, and beverage dispensers.
• Handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace when setting up or clearing food stations.
• Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly and responding promptly to their needs or inquiries.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable for breakfast service items.
• Manage food handling responsibilities with care to maintain freshness and safety throughout service hours.
• Support catering or banquet setups as needed for special events or group bookings within the hotel’s dining services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures is essential for maintaining hygiene standards.
• Experience with food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to guest interactions.
• Ability to handle weight safely in the workplace during setup or cleanup activities.
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions efficiently.
• Experience in fine dining or catering environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Basic math skills for managing cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of dietary accommodations and food industry best practices enhances your ability to serve diverse guest needs effectively.
