What Makes Someone Successful in this Role?
The right person will:
Think like a developer. You care about writing clean, maintainable code and building systems that won't create problems six months from now.
Think like an e-commerce operator. You understand that a website exists to help customers find products, make decisions, and purchase.
Think like a marketer. You understand landing pages, promotions, customer journeys, testing, analytics, and conversion.
Think like a problem solver. You don't need every problem handed to you as a perfectly defined ticket. You can identify the problem, research potential solutions, and determine the best path forward.
Care about the details. A button being 4px too low, a mobile experience being awkward, or a page taking too long to load matters to you.
What You'll Work On
Your projects could include:
- Building custom Shopify experiences
- Improving Primo's product and collection pages
- Developing new landing pages for marketing campaigns
- Improving our bundle-building experience
- Testing new PDP layouts and shopping experiences
- Implementing A/B tests
- Improving mobile conversion
- Improving site speed and performance
- Integrating new Shopify apps and services
- Developing custom functionality around our products and promotions
- Supporting major product and collection launches
- Identifying and fixing friction throughout the customer journey
- Fielding questions from each department about the site and its functionality
The Opportunity
This role will have a significant amount of ownership.
Primo currently works with an outside development partner for custom Shopify development, CRO, A/B testing, and website optimization. We're looking to bring that capability in-house so that our website can become a faster-moving, more integrated part of our business.
You'll have the opportunity to help shape how Primo's e-commerce experience develops as the company grows.
If you're someone who enjoys building things, solving problems, testing ideas, and seeing your work directly impact an e-commerce business, we'd love to hear from you.
