Factory Location: Ontario, CA

Compensation: $26.83 - $31.06 / hour

Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 1st Shift

Responsibilities

The Planning Coordinator / Production Scheduler is part of the Planning team for a 24X7 bottling operation. This person is primarily responsible for the management of the production schedule and working to resolve supply issues and concerns with the local operations teams for the region. In addition, the individual is involved with the inventory, warehouse, and production teams to make sure all KPIs and goals are met daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Create weekly production schedule based on sales forecast and demand
• Eliminate supply chain waste through effective management of aging inventories
• Maintain Husky Schedule, and create stock transfer orders for preforms based on current inventory targets
• Meet targeted inventory levels thru days on hand or inventory turns measure
• Maintain various reports such as Schedule Attainment, preform loading schedule, daily supply plan and others
• Helps with Regional activities: Ontario Schedule creation & releasing of POs
• Back up to the other Planning Coordinators in the areas of deployment and raw material scheduling
• Monitor warehouse space vs. capacity daily and action accordingly
• Ensure water capacity meets production schedule daily /creation of water purchase orders
• Count and order operational supplies to ensure smooth operation of factory
• Email correspondence with other regional planning departments and supply chain functions
• Participate in daily and weekly team meetings
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications Include:

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three to five years of experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficient with computers and windows-based software, specifically experience in Microsoft Word & Excel required
• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience with purchasing, material planning, or production planning preferred
• Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Schedule (MPS) Systems preferred
• Ability to handle multiple people and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written, email and phone communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a group environment
• Customer focused attitude in a dynamic environment
• Flexibility in hours worked
