Position Summary
The Quality Control, Ingredient Sourcing & Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining Primo’s standards for product excellence. This position supports the quality assurance team by monitoring ingredient specifications, managing supplier relationships, tracking raw material inventories, and assisting with internal documentation and compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about animal health, enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, and has a sharp eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control
- Conduct regular checks on incoming ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
- Maintain documentation and records for product testing, lot traceability, and quality control.
- Assist with audits, lab sample coordination, and product specification reviews.
- Ingredient Sourcing
- Lead the procurement of raw materials in coordination with approved vendors.
- Verify that all ingredients meet company and regulatory standards.
- Communicate with VP of Operations regarding certifications, COAs, and lead times.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and update inventory tracking systems.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled manufacturing runs.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science, Food Science, Biology, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in quality control, sourcing, or inventory management (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, or FDA/USDA production standards a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic inventory.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and within a team.
