Job Description:
We are seeking a Metal Fabricator who possesses a real good understanding of how to work with metal. We need team members to have the ability to read blueprints and the expertise to build custom metal structures and components without having their hand held. This posting is not an apprenticeship position. Our ideal candidate is a rad person, who can roll with the crew, consistently show up well rested, have a positive mindset alongside the drive to get the job done and do it better every time.
Key Responsibilities:
Metal Fabrication: Fabricate metal parts and structures according to project specifications, ensuring precision, quality, and attention to detail.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine material requirements and fabrication processes.
Materials Selection: Select and procure appropriate material and be able to take into consideration project specifications.
Welding: Proficiently perform various welding techniques.
Quality Control: Be able to inspect fabricated components and ensure they meet design specifications.
Machine Operation: Operate metalworking machinery and tools, including grinders, saws, and drills, lathes, forklifts and overhead cranes.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our team to meet deadlines, achieve project goals and complete onsite installation, when needed.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize workplace hazards and maintain a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Timeliness: Demonstrate a strong work ethic by consistently arriving on time, keeping tabs on project deadlines, and efficiently managing workload.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a metal fabricator, with a minimum of 2 years or in a similar role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong welding skills across various techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Familiarity with a wide range of metalworking machinery and tools.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and equipment.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
