Position Summary: The Market Leader is responsible for growing the market through execution of investment banking engagements, new business development, including lead generation, and relationship management.
Essential Functions
- Full P&L oversight, staffing, strategic planning, and day-to-day management of the region.
- Develop proactive sales and marketing strategies for different client segments.
- Recruit, select and develop staff with well-rounded skills and knowledge to ensure growth and development of "high end" client base.
- Ensure staff is well trained on banking products and services and that the team can effectively communicate the value.
- Build and maintain a cohesive team that has the skills and characteristics to evolve into a high-performance team.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the Bank’s reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

- Identify and initiate cross-referral opportunities.
- Manage expenses of sales team.
- Participate and initiate client calls with salesforce as needed.
- Continuously track sales performance.
- Streamline sales processes to meet client needs.
- Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and Bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, SAR, CTR, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, EEO, and fair employment practices.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, business or related field
- Appropriate state licenses, if required
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and products
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including ability to develop business relationships
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment
- Flexible, able to adapt to change while prioritizing tasks and efficiently manage time
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
