Position Summary: This position is responsible for reviewing, validating, and funding mortgage loans submitted by clients. This role ensures all documentation is accurate and complete, meets regulatory and internal guidelines, and supports clients with system access and inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage banking or warehouse lending operations, with excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
Essential Functions
- Review submitted loan packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funding requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in loan documentation.
- Approve and disburse funds in accordance with established guidelines.
- Conduct internal quality control and audits of warehouse lending loans.
- Verify wire instructions and validate title company information for both new and existing partners.
- Maintain and update the warehouse lending database, ensuring all documentation is properly retained.
- Provide daily client support, including system login assistance and guidance on using warehouse lending systems.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- In person attendance required.
Marginal Functions
- Collaborate with internal teams and participate in departmental projects as assigned.
- Ensure data integrity, assess risk, and maintain accurate file inventory.
- Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Educational & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (preferred)
- 3 years’ experience in mortgage banking or mortgage warehouse lending operations (preferred)
Minimum Skill Requirements
- Strong understanding of mortgage banking and warehouse lending processes.
- In-depth knowledge of loan closing procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Demands
