Maintenance - Industrial

Primex Plastics Corporation is an international leader in the extruded plastic industry. Primex provides custom plastic sheet extrusion, compounds, colorants, and a myriad of value-added services for many applications including food, cosmetic and medical packaging; bottles and closures; toys, horticultural and industrial products; dunnage and automotive components. Primex operates eight manufacturing facilities throughout the country, including two color and compounding operations, a recycling operation, a chemical laboratory, and its distribution system.

What we are looking for:

Actively searching for an Industrial Maintenance Entry Level, for our Jasper, Tennessee, facility. 

Skills 

• The ability to read, write and perform basic math skills.   
• Be able to follow written and verbal instructions.  
• Make time-efficient decisions.  
• Be able to perform duties without direct supervision.   
• Do basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work and use related tools.  
• Be able to do steel fabrication work.  
• Be capable of using a tape measure, micrometer, dial indicator, feeler gauge, calipers and amp/volt meter.  
• Be capable of using mig and stick welder and acetylene torch.   
• Be capable of taking corrective action on problems that arise.  
• PLC experience 
• Knowledge of 480 3 phase
• Knowledge of 24v and 110v control circuits
• Experience working on motors, pumps, bearings and seal replacement, changing belts and pulleys
• Preventive Maintenance experience on industrial machines
• Knowledge of how to wire parallel and series circuits

• Lifting Requirements: 50 lbs. If over 50 lbs. seek help or use proper lifting equipment such as hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance procedures.
• Keep production lines and all related equipment in good operating condition.
• Perform lift truck truck maintenance and repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance, corrective actions and troubleshoot in normal operations.
• Promptly complete job activities.
• Change DC electric motor brushes, pump seals and bearings.
• Must wear PPE while in the production area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
