Extruder Operator - 2nd Shift

About the Role:

As an Extruder Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and production lines. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and monitor extrusion machinery. You will be ensuring that products meet specified quality standards and production targets. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members to implement best practices for safety, quality and productivity in the manufacturing environment. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact the overall success of our production operations and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic understanding of machinery and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating extrusion machinery.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
2. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
3. Check physical properties such as flatness, gauge, length, width, gloss, haze, orientation and square, as required 
4. Document production data and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
5. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
6. Basic computer skills are necessary. 
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
