Director of Retail Sales

Position Summary:
The Director of Retail Sales will play a critical role in shaping the future of our credit union. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing innovative sales strategies that align with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and membership growth goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales goals for retail centers with overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and measurable objectives, ensuring successful execution across the retail division.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
- Implement effective sales tools and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Champion a member-centric approach to sales, ensuring that team members build strong relationships with members and understand their financial needs.
- Gather feedback from members to continuously enhance the member experience.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales goals.
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to improve profitability and growth
Qualifications:Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of member service principles.
- Knowledge of human resource policies and recruiting techniques.
- Sound interpersonal and communications skills both oral and written.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to formulate and implement consistent policy and procedures while maintaining quality service.
- Strong personal computer skills using Windows based software applications required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work to meet deadlines.
Experience
- 7 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the financial services or retail industry
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute actionable plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
ADA Requirements
- Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
