Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the supervision of the Teller area in absence of the Head Teller. Guide and advise Tellers in the efficient and accurate handling of member needs. Solve member problems, resolve issues, and help with complex work-related matters. Perform all Teller functions as needed. Ensures a high level of accuracy in all Teller transactions in accordance with PrimeTrust Financial Federal Credit Union policies and procedures, to provide the highest quality of member service. This is not a UE position. The pay scale for the Head Teller position will be based off the Teller pay scale.

Duties and Responsibilities:

¨ Capable of conducting all phases of Teller work and assist Tellers with irate members, balancing issues, etc.

¨ Assist Head Teller.

¨ Training of new Tellers.

¨ Responsible for Teller operations by scheduling hours, assigning work, answering questions and solving problems, helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems, and explaining policies and procedures to Tellers and members.

¨ Investigate Teller losses and institute corrective flow of work and/or corrective disciplinary action.

¨ Evaluates job performance of Tellers to ensure quality of work and service to members.

¨ Audit Teller drawers.

¨ Corrects Teller transaction errors.

¨ Serves as vault Teller for credit union, to include ordering cash from the Federal Reserve, verifying cash received, filling Teller cash orders, maintaining vault security and balancing vault cash nightly. Keep and order vault area supplies.

¨ Balances vault cash, ITMs, Cash Recyclers and Checks nightly.

¨ Assists with monthly Teller meetings to discuss areas needing improvement, procedure changes, new developments and services, etc.

¨ Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all Credit Union products and services that are handled and promoted by Tellers. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, and rules and regulations for the Teller area, including robbery procedures.

¨ Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.

¨ Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.

¨ Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.

¨ Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications:

Education

High School Degree.

Experience/Knowledge

Six months to one year of proven related job experience.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

N/A

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

Associate degree in Finance, Business, or Economics

Technical Competencies:

Interpersonal skills to work effectively with all employees and members of PrimeTrust Financial Federal Credit Union.

Above average computer skills.

Ability to analyze problems and make independent judgments to initiate corrective action or resolution.

Significant level of trust & diplomacy. Good organizational skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Standing and walking approximately 90 percent of work time. Sitting at desk or workstation approximately 10 percent of work time.

Ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Normal Credit Union environment.

Ability to lift 25 lbs. occasionally.
