Member Services Representative (MSR) – Part-Time
Location: Garwood, NJ
Reports To: General Manager
Compensation: $15.50/hr
Shift: Weekend Closer - Evening (3pm - 7pm )

Role Overview
The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for members and guests, creating a welcoming, professional, and positive environment. The MSR understands the importance of the Member Experience and that the front desk is the epicenter of the gym.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience & Attitude

Greet every member and guest with a smile and positive energy.

Create a welcoming environment by engaging members, asking about their workouts, and making them feel part of the Crunch community.

Maintain enthusiasm, professionalism, and knowledge to answer questions and assist members effectively.
Sales & Enrollment
-
Register and tour guests using the Digital Toolkit.
-
Present and sell memberships, prioritizing Peak Results memberships (approx. 60% of sales).
-
Book CrunchONE Kickoffs for new members to drive personal training revenue (target: 60% of new members).
-
Set up monthly dues via ACH/checking account and collect secondary payment methods for backup.
Front Desk & Administrative Duties

Check in all members and guests according to company procedures.

Address account issues, past due invoices, and membership updates.

Handle phone inquiries courteously and professionally, scheduling tours for prospective members.

Sell retail items and communicate all facilities, services, and amenities.

Maintain professional appearance and uniform at all times.
Operational & Team Support

Participate in team and zone cleaning activities; report maintenance issues.

Support group fitness class check-ins and assist members with app usage.

Follow all policies in the Employee Handbook and uphold Crunch No Judgments philosophy.

Attend team meetings, huddles, and participate in outreach/community events.
Job Requirements

Outgoing, energetic, coachable, and enthusiastic. Strong customer service orientation with a desire to help others.

Ability to work effectively on a team and take direction from supervisors.

Preferred experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality.

CPR/AED certified or able to complete certification within 30 days of hire.
Education & Experience

Experience in a service-oriented environment is preferred.
-
On-the-job training provided.
