Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of overhead steel gates to identify wear, damage, or malfunctioning components.
- Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to ensure optimal gate operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately.
- Execute welding repairs on structural components or damaged parts to restore gate integrity.
- Read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings for complex repair tasks and system upgrades.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and schedule future inspections.
- Supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff during repair projects and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on welding skills for structural repairs and component fabrication.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system control.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for aesthetic touch-ups around gate areas.
- Excellent supervisory skills with leadership experience overseeing maintenance teams or projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for clear documentation and team coordination.
