Job Summary:

The Shift Supervisor will oversee and manage production shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.

Job Duties:

• Oversees production operations on assigned shift.
• Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise.
• Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
• Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk, stand, and moving around the plant for extended periods of times.
• The ability to handle tools and equipment, and sometimes perform minor repairs or adjustments.
• The ability to work long hours, especially during peak production times or when addressing urgent issues.
• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, which may include wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
• The ability to navigate various areas of the plant, including climbing stairs or ladders and accessing confined spaces if necessary.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a Team Lead preferred.
