Summary of Position:

Responsible for the overall sales, marketing, and administrative activities. Develop and maintain divisional budget and business plan. Manage the division to achieve projected sales and profit results within the corporate approved expense budget and the approved business plan. Effectively utilize other corporate departments and functions to meet divisional objectives (i.e. marketing, finance, purchasing, legal, H.R./Personnel, I.T.). Continually evaluates the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and strategic sales plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Coordinate with other divisions selling channels to help ensure overall company objectives are met.


Essential Duties:

  • Develop/maintain a business plan to achieve the desired sales growth for the operations of Division, at a rate consistent with the Company’s strategic plan, promoting primarily the division products.
  • Develop, recommend and implement annual budgets and long-range strategic plans for sales and marketing. Includes sales forecasting and budgeting activities. Ensure optimum sales volume and profits, at a cost that achieves a high return on investment.
  • Develop objectives, policies and programs for the marketing activities of the division including Market and Product Acceptance Research, Advertising, Direct Mail, catalogues, new product introduction, trade shows, E-commerce, and development of various sales promotions.
  • Manage, develop and maintain business relationships with existing and potential clients to meet sales objectives. Develop and implement strategies to grow key account business. Contact and secure key major new business and maintain existing business.
  • Represent the Company at tradeshows.
  • Select and manage the channel sales managers and customer service team.
  • Provide ongoing management, training and development of the staff through goal setting, monitoring performance and feedback.
  • Responsibility for all direct sales and marketing functions of e-commerce, including continual strategic development of the web site and strategic planning of increasing Internet sales.
  • Direct market research to know, understand and continually improve competitive position (pricing, product offerings, innovations, etc.).
  • Coordinate and interface with Corporate H.R., Accounting/Finance Departments as required.
  • Report on performance to management on a timely basis. This includes but is not limited to the business plan, personnel, sales and financial results.
  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team on significant sales or market trends. Provide responsive commendations and insights into long range as well as short-term planning. Any other activities and responsibilities as directed by the President


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven sales ability with high-level corporate contacts and the ability to grow national accounts.
  • Thorough knowledge of how to go to market utilizing manufacturers’ representatives or resellers.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen and demonstrated quantitative skills.
  • Forecasting, budgeting, and servant-leadership skill sets.
  • Ability to train and motivate highly performing sales teams.
  • Understanding of all other areas of the company such as production, purchasing, inventory control, credit, etc.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of beverage, nutraceutical, janitorial, or food industries, a plus.
  • Have the self-motivation to diligently perform with little supervision.
  • Good decision making and reasoning skills
  • Ability to travel and schedule productive sales calls.


Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, majoring in sales, marketing or business-related field and/or equivalent combination of education and proven experience.
  • 10 years’ experience in business management & development with sales and operations managerial experience.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, leadership ability and ability to be a team player on all levels.
  • Ability to develop a business plan including sales, marketing, and operational strategies.
  • Ability to develop and accomplish sales and budget forecasts.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with top level executives in corporation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (front line H.R. support).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Fingering, grasping and feeling.
  • Talking, hearing and repetitive motion.
  • Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
