This isn’t your average HR gig. Our client is launching a new manufacturing site in Gaffney, SC and needs a strategic HR Manager who thrives in ambiguity, builds trust from the ground up, and knows how to turn HR into a competitive advantage. We're looking for an HR Manager to create a high-performance, high-integrity workplace from day one.
You’ll be the HR command center for this new facility - leading everything from recruiting and employee relations to compliance, training, and culture-building. You’ll partner with global stakeholders, manage local HR staff, and architect the systems that keep this operation running smoothly and ethically. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who can lead, build, and adapt in real time.
What You’ll Own
- Design and implement HR processes, policies, and systems tailored to a fast-scaling manufacturing site
- Act as a strategic business partner to site leadership and global HR teams
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations with clarity and empathy
- Manage performance, compensation, succession planning, and organizational design
- Oversee HR communications, training, and compliance with federal/state employment laws
- Respond to employee concerns, investigations, and corrective actions with professionalism and discretion
- Monitor industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regional compliance
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports that drive smarter decisions
- Maintain confidentiality and build trust across all levels of the organization
- Lead and mentor local HR staff, fostering growth and accountability
What You Bring
- 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 years managing HR professionals
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or HR certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred
- Strong project management and influencing skills
- Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices
- Experience in manufacturing or startup environments a major plus
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, build systems from scratch, and lead with integrity
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office suite
- Global and cultural awareness, ethical judgment, and a bias for action
