What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collector position at Primera Financial Corp?
We are looking for candidates to fill our open Collector position. We want someone who provides courteous and friendly service to customers in order to help resolve customers' delinquent accounts and make payment arrangements for customers through phone contacts. Candidates best qualified for this position should be able to remain "calm and cool" under pressure and should have great problem-solving skills.
- This is a full-time position.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:30pm.
- Compensation starts at $19.00hr.

· RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting customers with questions regarding their account, general customer service duties
- Work assigned queue of customers in order to achieve goals and objectives
- Inbound/outbound collection calls
- Processing customer payments made over the phone
- Make arrangements with past due customers and use skills to lower delinquency and mitigate losses
- Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations, including FDCPA
- Responsible for various other tasks assigned by direct supervisor(s)
· MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Great customer service and verbal communication skills, persistency, excellent listening ability and professional phone etiquette
- Excellent problem-solving skills and able to accurately identify problems as they occur
- Fast learner and proficient with computers
- Ability to multi-task and adjust to change easily
- Ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and apply basic consumer finance compliance requirements
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Prior collection experience preferred, but not required
- Fluent in Spanish (since most of our customers are mainly Spanish speakers)
- Fluent in Armenian, Russian or both, but not required
- Prior auto finance experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Knowledge of Megasys is a plus, but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation and regular attendance
- Although previous experience is a positive, we are willing to train the right candidate. At minimum, we require a high school diploma or GED equivalent and the ability to understand and speak Spanish fluently.
